Gurgaon has several building markets running side by side. In DLF Phases 1 to 5, Sushant Lok and the older HUDA sectors, houses from the 1990s are being pulled down and rebuilt as builder floors over stilt parking. Along Golf Course Extension Road and the Dwarka Expressway, developers are raising high-rise towers on large land parcels, while the New Gurgaon sectors in the 80s and 90s fill up with plotted villas and low-rise floors.
These sites share one condition: semi-arid, sandy loam soil on the edge of the Aravallis, where termites forage deep and travel far for moisture. A single soil treatment at construction time does not suit a building expected to stand for decades. A porous pipe network laid at plinth level gives the owner, or later the RWA, a way to top up the barrier from outside.
Much of Gurgaon sits on light, sandy loam that dries out quickly in summer. Subterranean termites respond by moving deeper and spreading their galleries wider in search of moisture, which brings them to damp spots under kitchens, bathrooms and the garden-facing walls of a new house. Pipe laid at plinth level sits right where those galleries meet the building.
Rebuilt plots in DLF and the old sectors usually carry stilt parking with several separately owned floors above. The stilt level is open, often wet from car washing, and in direct contact with the ground. Pipe along the stilt perimeter and around the lift and stair core keeps that shared level covered for every owner.
Villas on Sohna Road, in South City and in New Gurgaon often have large lawns, mulch beds and wooden decks against the house. Irrigation keeps that soil moist all year and draws termites toward the walls. We run pipe along garden-facing walls and place junction boxes where a gardener will not bury them.
In New Gurgaon and along the Dwarka Expressway, plots and towers are going up side by side. Excavated soil and construction debris are often left on vacant land next to finished homes. Until a neighbourhood settles, termite pressure on a new building can come from almost any direction. On such plots we make sure the boundary-side walls are fully looped.
The pipe we install
Made in Vadodara, Gujarat, India from a thermoplastic elastomeric compound with a honeycomb micro-pore wall. Termiticide seeps out evenly through micro-pores on all sides, unlike hand-drilled PVC that leaks at a few holes. The manufacturer rates pipe life at 30 to 50 years (manufacturer estimate).

Gurgaon sites are served from our head office on Okhla Road in New Delhi. Before the visit we ask for the sanctioned building plan, since most Gurgaon rebuilds follow it closely and wall lines can be marked in advance. On builder floor sites we schedule pipe laying in the gap between plinth beam curing and soil filling, so the contractor is not held up.
