Delhi rebuilds itself plot by plot. Old kothis in South Delhi become four-storey builder floors, family homes in West and North Delhi are torn down and rebuilt, and new commercial blocks come up along the Ring Road and in Okhla and Mohan Cooperative. Every one of those sites sits on soil that has had termite colonies under it for decades.
That is why the foundation stage matters. Once the floor is cast, the only way to treat the soil under it is to drill through the tiles. A reticulation system laid before the plinth beam or floor PCC lets us re-treat the same soil every few years through junction boxes, with no drilling at all.
Many Delhi plots are on land that has been built on and rebuilt since the 1960s. Old wooden door frames, buried construction waste and tree roots feed large subterranean termite colonies that are already in the soil when the new foundation goes in.
Termites move deeper in the dry heat of May and June and come up again after the monsoon, when the soil around foundations stays damp. A barrier that can be refilled keeps protection steady through these cycles instead of fading after the first few years.
A typical builder floor has one plinth shared by four or more owners. If termites get in, every flat is affected. Laying pipe once at the plinth stage protects all floors, and refills are done from outside without entering anyone's home.
Many Delhi plots now have a basement or stilt parking. We plan the pipe along the basement retaining walls and the stilt floor so that the lowest level, where termites enter first, is fully covered.

The pipe we install
Made in Vadodara, Gujarat, India from a thermoplastic elastomeric compound with a honeycomb micro-pore wall. Termiticide seeps out evenly through micro-pores on all sides, unlike hand-drilled PVC that leaks at a few holes. The manufacturer rates pipe life at 30 to 50 years (manufacturer estimate).
